Name: AP Psychology Summer Assignment DUE NO LATER THAN 9/28/2016 or 9/29/2016 (the day your class meets) For your summer assignment, you will be creating a detailed reference guide that highlights some of the key psychologists we will be analyzing this year. To do this, you are to create a graphically organized reference guide that includes all of the psychologists listed below. You organizer needs to provide thorough (not “fluffy”), succinct (please don’t go on and on about the individual but make your passages meaningful), answers to the following essential questions: 1. What was the lifespan of the individual? 2. What was the researcher’s area of study? a. This should be no more than a 1-5 word description 3. What were the basics of the researcher’s study? a. Here you need to go into a little more detail on the area of study. What were they trying to find out? What did they believe about their area of study? b. You also need to include the names of any famous study(ies) they are known for. Any names of studies and/or theories they are especially known for should be bold and/or underlined. Also required: Include headings in your organizer. You can use the ones provided for you in the example below if you want. Repeat the headings on each new page. Include a photo of your psychologist. Sources should be referenced in an MLA style works cited page at the end of your completed organizer. o Citations are not required for photographs o Wikipedia will not be accepted as a source. Period, no exceptions. Basically, your chart should look like this: Psychologist Lifespan Area(s) of Study Basics of research/study Name and Birth year – One to five word photograph A short but thorough and meaningful response to #3 above. death year description of person Any other questions can be directed to Ms. Solomon this summer by Email: [email protected] REMIND: join our class by texting the code @acpsych to 81010 Twitter: @SolomonACHS Key Psychologists in AP Psychology 1.
