Our Church fete on the afternoon of 5 September proved a great success; the weather was wonderful, the support of villagers more than expected and essential Covid safety measures worked well. In response to requests for using your church for other village activities, we are planning a Christmas Craft Fayre for Saturday 14 November from 10:30 – 4.30pm as a way of supporting our local artists and craft people who have been unable to display and sell their work in recent months. Please keep this date in your diary and if you would like to have a stall then please contact me for further information. We have started preparations for our village memorial service on the 1st November as well as Remembrance Sunday, Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial and our traditional Advent and Christmas services. Each service will comply with all Covid legislation and best practices which will mean some necessary changes regarding seating, music and refreshments. Full details will appear in Steventon News and posters around the village.
