January 6, 2020 SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF EXPERT PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR THE PATH NEW FARE PAYMENT SYSTEM AND ONE METRO NEW YORK INTEGRATION AS REQUESTED ON AN “AS-NEEDED” BASIS DURING 2020 – 2024 (RFP# 59588) – ADDENDUM #3 Dear Sir or Madam: The following are questions from Request for Proposals (RFP) recipients. The questions and the corresponding Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (the Authority) answers are provided for your information and use, as appropriate. Question #1: Will the Consultant have access to the agreements between PATH and the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) relating to OMNY integration? What is the current timeline for the agreements if not already completed? Answer #1: Yes, the Consultant will have access to any relevant documents and agreements that are necessary for project implementation. The final timeline for the agreements has not yet been determined. Question #2: Will outreach in regards to OMNY require MTA approval? Answer #2: This policy has not yet been determined. Question #3: Does PATH plan to allow MetroCard and SmartLink usage after full OMNY integration? Answer #3: PATH plans to decommission its legacy system after full OMNY integration. Question #4: Has PATH reviewed electrical and network infrastructure needed to support OMNY? If so, is any part of that design needed with this agreement? Answer #4: These services are not currently required. However, over the course of this project the Consultant should have staff available to provide these services if requested by the Authority. Question #5: Is it anticipated that this project will receive federal funding? Answer #5: At this time, it is not anticipated that this project will receive federal funding.
