Public Safety • Do not answer the door in a hotel or motel room without verifying who it is. If a person claims to be an employee, call the front desk and ask if someone from their staff is supposed to have access to your room and for what purpose. • When returning to your hotel or motel late in the evening, use the main entrance of the hotel. Be observant and look around before entering parking lots. • Close the door securely once you enter your room and use all of the locking devices provided. • Do not needlessly display guestroom keys or convention badges in public. • Do not draw attention to yourself by displaying large amounts of cash or expensive jewelry. • Do not invite strangers to your room. • Place all valuables in the hotel or motel’s safe deposit box. • Do not leave valuables in your vehicle. • Check to see that any sliding glass doors or windows and any connecting room doors are locked. • If you see any suspicious activity, please report your observations to the management. • When walking always project a confident image; walk with a purpose. • Stick to well lit, busy areas. • Remove convention badges outside the meeting site. • Do not give money to panhandlers. • Report suspicious behavior to the Police or a Downtown Atlanta Ambassador. With direct train service to Hartsfield- Jackson Atlanta International Airport, MARTA is your efficient, no-hassle connection. MARTA's Airport Station - the final stop on the South Line - is only a 17-minute trip from Five Points Station, the hub of the MARTA rail system. Other popular destinations are equally accessible from the airport. All southbound trains go to the airport and have plenty of luggage space available at the end of each railcar. Elevators, located in every rail station, provide additional convenience to travelers carrying multiple bags. How to Find MARTA in Hartsfield-Jackson: Arriving air travelers should follow the Ground Transportation signs to MARTA. The entrance to MARTA's Airport Station is located inside the western end of the airport's main terminal. Our fare gates are just a few feet from the baggage claim areas.
