February 2016 The Spring One Book One Community selection is Kingfish by Richard D. White Jr.! he 10th annual spring One Book One Community (OBOC) Tinitiative is again sponsored by the East Baton Rouge Parish Library with partners Forum 35, Up Alliance and the Foundation for Historical Louisiana. The One Book * One Community 2016 selected book for 2016 is Kingfish: The Reign of Huey P. Long by Richard D. White Jr. Various free programs related to book discussions, Huey P. Long themes, films, speakers, panel discussions, film viewings and special events will begin in February 2016 and run through April 2016. The OBOC program will extend throughout the parish and will include schools, libraries, colleges, businesses and community groups in the spring of 2016. Classroom sets of the selected book are freely available through the Library.
