The Position: An integral part of the airline but operating as an independent profit centre, Arabian Adventures is the region's leading Destination Management Company. The Operations Manager, Arabian Adventures will manage, plan and direct all day to day operational aspects of running the Tours and Safaris (Dubai & Abu Dhabi). He/She will also manage and ensure smooth running of the Transport unit of Arabian Adventures, which comprises of a fleet of over 100 vehicles with the objective of providing high quality service whilst ensuring safety standards are maintained. Formulate and manage the strategy for corporate sales of tours and safaris in the UAE, aiming to enhance the contribution of this unit and increase Arabian Adventures market share. Responsible for development and implementation of new products. Salary & Benefits: We offer an attractive tax­free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE. Experience and Qualifications: • Minimum degree level, preferably in Business Administration with a minimum of 8 years experience in Safari Operations of which a minimum of 4 years should have been at a Managerial level. • In­depth first hand knowledge of the functioning of an operations unit within a destination management company and a thorough knowledge of the tours and safaris market in the UAE. • A proven track record of managing large operational teams and delivering results within a multi­ national and multi­cultural environment. • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and good negotiating skills. • Must have strong problem solving and decision making skills and be capable of leading and performing well under pressure. • Should also be logical and systematic, well organized, a team player, self­motivated, well groomed and capable of working with a clear understanding of the big picture.
