To configure Microsoft Outlook 2013 to send and receive email with the POP3 or IMAP protocols over SSL, please follow the steps below. 1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2013. 2. Choose "File" ->Click on the drop-down arrow "Account Settings" -> Click "Account Settings". 3. Double-click on your current email account "[email protected]" and click "Next". 4. You will need to change your email address from [email protected] to [email protected] in the "Email Address" field. Account Type can be left as is (POP3 or IMAP). The incoming and outgoing mail servers should be updated to pioneer.nd.gov. Your username and password field should already be filled in Leave the "Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)" option unchecked. You can leave the "Automatically test account settings when Next is clicked" option checked, in order to easily verify if your configuration is done correctly. Click "More Settings ...". 5. On the General tab you will need to change your email address from [email protected] to [email protected] in the “Type the name by which you want to refer to this account. For example: “Work” or Microsoft Mail Account” 6. Mark “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.” 7. Click on the "Advanced" tab. Mark the "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)" option. The incoming server port will be automatically changed to 995 if you are using POP3 or 993 if you are using IMAP.
