Historical note HeHalutz is an association of Jewish youth whose aim was to train its members to settle in the Land of Israel, which became an umbrella organization of the pioneering Zionist youth movements. It was established in 1918 and closed by the Soviet authorities in 1928. In addition to training, HeHalutz also organized Jewish agricultural coops and vocational training for its members.
