Lee .... 271 Contributors Leon V. Sigal is director of the Northeast Asia Cooperative Security Project in New York, which has been involved in Track II talks with North Korea since 1995. He was a member of the editorial board of The New York Times from 1989 to 1995 and served in the Bureau of Politico-Military Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, in 1979 as International Affairs Fellow and in 1980 as Special Assistant to the Director. From 1974 to 1989 he was a professor of government at Wesleyan University and has also taught at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs and at Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School. His book, Disarming Strangers: Nuclear Diplomacy with North Korea, published by Princeton University Press, was one of five nominees for the Lionel Gelber Prize as the most outstanding book in international relations for 1997-98 and was named the 1998 book of distinction by the American Academy of Diplomacy. He can be reached at [email protected]. Yeonhee Sophie Kim is a Ph.D. Candidate at the Department of Political Science at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, Honolulu, United States. She is currently a lecturer at University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and teaches American politics, global politics, and history of political thought. Her research focuses on feminist security studies, critical legal studies, critical border studies, demilitarization, geopolitics, and biopolitics. She is the Honolulu regional coordinator for the U.S.-based Korea Peace Now Grassroots Network (KPNGN) under the umbrella of a women-led global campaign Korea Peace Now! Women Mobilizing to End the War.
