Music Tel-250-339-2690 E-mail- [email protected] Kent lived all over Canada as a kid soaking up the great music of the 1950′s and 1960′s as well as the regional music of his home province Nova Scotia. By his late-teens, he was writing and performing his original songs across Canada. Kent was signed to Warner- Chappell Music helped him to develop his skills as a writer. He was also signed by Brian Chater to Almo-Irving Music and had material released in Canada, the United States, Australia and Europe. His writing travels took him to Toronto, Los Angeles and Nashville where he honed his skills. From 1992 to 1995, David was asked to tour with k.d. lang and then he joined Sarah McLachlan's ensemble from 1993 to 2003, touring extensively in North America, Europe, and Japan. During that period he appeared on television shows including Jay Leno, David Letterman, Conan O'Brien, Arsenio Hall, Saturday Night Live, Larry Sanders, Good Morning America, Rosie O'Donnell, MTV Unplugged, VH1 Storytellers, The Grammy Awards Show, and Juno Awards. Prior to this, he recorded and toured with his internationally known bands Straight Lines and Body Electric for which he received a Juno nomination. As a studio guitarist, he has worked with many Canadian artists including Sarah McLachlan, Michael Bublé, Daniel Powter, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Amy Sky, Rita MacNeil, Paul Janz, Valdy, Susan Jacks, Terry Jacks, Barry Greeneld, Prism, Irish Rovers, Matthew Lien, Gary Fjellgaard and many more. He has played on and composed music for many TV series and lms, appeared on numerous occasions with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and a variety of musical theatre productions. Over the past few years, David has produced CDs for a number of artists, including Gary Fjellgaard, Shuttery and BC folk/pop artist Kent Fiddy. Kent and David Sinclair have performed together at festivals across Canada including Festival by-the-Sea(St. John, N.B.), Miramichi Folk Festival(Miramichi, N.B.), Springhill Music Festival(N.S.), New Glasgow Riverfront Jubilee(N.S.), Pan Am Games(Winnipeg, MB.), Filberg Festival(Comox, B.C), Midsummer Festival(Smithers, B.C.), Islands Folk Festival(Duncan, B.C.), North Island Concert Society(Port Hardy, B.C. and the world renowned Buchart Gardens Summer Concert Series in Victoria, B.C.
