KPR INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY COIMBATORE-641407 DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING Seminar on “IOT Based Machine Vision Technology using Human Body Reader” Mr.Suresh babu Proprietor New Qubitronics Coimbatore Organized through IIPC-CSE & SIG-CN Mr.S.Srithar, AP/CSE 30.08.2019 NMS Lab 4:00pm-5.00pm The Department of CSE in association with IIPC&SIG CN has organized a seminar on “IOT Based Machine Vision Technology using Human Body Reader” for our students. Around 50 students participated from CSE, ECE and Mech. The expert member Mr.Suresh babu, Proprietor, New Qubi- tronics, Coimbatore handled the session. OBJECTIVE: The seminar has been designed with the following objective: To know Introduction to Internet of Things (IoT) To understand Machine vision technology standards To understand Machine vision technology for human body reading Seminar Discussion: Connecting machine vision systems to the IoT creates a powerful network capability. Being able to identify objects from cameras allows the local node to be more intelligent and have greater autonomy, thus reducing the processing load on central servers and allowing more distributed control architecture. Machine vision has developed in great strides over the last decade. State-of-the-art algorithms capable of detecting edges and movement within video frames, alongside advances in silicon technology relating to image sensors, programmable logic, microcontrollers and graphics processing units (GPUs), have helped bring it into a wide range of embedded applications. The machine vision technology applied in human body which incorporates all the features like human body joint recognition, reaction recognition, and body measurement using pixels are demonstrated by the machine vision technology. The session started at 4:00pm by welcome address & chief guest introduction given by S.Srithar, AP CSE/IIPC Coordinator. The students interacted during the seminar.
