Licensing­Examination­of­the­United­States (COMLEX-USA)­is­the­pathway­to­licensure­for The­master­examination­blueprint­emphasizes­the­competences­required­for­generalist­physicians­to­deliver osteopathic­physicians­seeking­to­practice safe­and­effective­osteopathic­medical­care.­The­framework­of­COMLEX-USA­is­based­on­the­foundation­of medicine­and­surgery.­It­is­the­principal­means­by the­osteopathic­approach­to­patient­care.­Its­evidence-based­design­assures­state­licensing­boards­and­the which­the­NBOME­delivers­on­its­mission­to public­that­a­DO­has­demonstrated­minimal­competence­by­passing­a­series­of­national­standardized protect­the­public­by­providing­assessment­of examinations­designed­for­the­practice­of­osteopathic­medicine.­Aligned­with­the­education­and­training competencies­for­osteopathic­physicians­and pathway­of­a­DO,­passing­Levels­1­and­2­of­COMLEX-USA­is­also­an­accreditation­standard­for­graduation related­health­care­professions. with­a­DO­degree­and­required­for­entry­into­residency­training.
