Parents, supporters, coaches, managers, trainers and players are required to act in a reasonable and responsible manner. This includes comments to referees, opposing players and supporters. The Code requires proper behaviour and sportsmanship. This Club requires the guidelines of the Code of Conduct to be enforced and takes a Zero tolerance to breaches. For a copy of the code please pick up a handout from the club house or download it from the Souths Juniors web site http://southsjuniors.leaguenet.com.au GRADINGS PROCESSS Team gradings will all be based on each child’s ability and the final decision will rest with the coaching team and the Committee. For the first few weeks of training, the coaching team will be assessing each player. This means some age groups will stay together for the first few weeks of training. It is important that these gradings are finalised before the official trial games however the trial results will determine the final grading in each division. At all times our aim is to be realistic and fair and to ensure children with like ability are teamed together. Parents and coaching will need to actively support this process with the kids to ensure there this process is handled without issue. In some grades such as the 6’s club games will be held on Tuesdays in the 3rd and 4th weeks to support this process. These games will be refereed. If there are any issues with the grading process please engage an official to support. 2011 SEASON DRAW The 2011 is now available and the current draw is attached. Please note that this draw is updated regularly so please keep up to date with the most current versions on the South Juniors web site http://southsjuniors.leaguenet.com.au CANTEEN ROSTER Support is needed from parents and family to help out in the canteen at Pioneer Park. The profits from the canteen go part way to paying for game day drinks for our kids so please give your support generously. A canteen roster for this year will be emailed out before the first competition game. Each team will be scheduled only once for the duration of the season. Managers: please liaise with your parents to ensure that you have 4 parents allocated to the canteen on your rostered day. If each team can split their 4 parents into two groups to do 2 to 3 hours either prior or after their teams scheduled game. It is not expected that parents are in the canteen while their kids game is on. Prices lists are located at the counter and there will be a canteen representative on hand (Phil, Tony or Brett) to support. Remember the people who permanently staff the canteen are volunteers. Thanks for your assistance. Kids will not be allowed into the canteen area for safety reasons and don't eat more than you serve. MATCH DAY UNIFORMS ALLOCATION The match day uniforms (jumpers, shorts and socks) arrive the week before the 1st competition game. Team packs will be pre packed and Managers and Coaches will be asked to pick them up from the club house. There is no need to submit size requirements for your team as orders were placed with Souths Juniors in October last year. On allocation any sizing issues can be addressed on an age basis between individual team managers and the Age Team Managers e.g. each under 7’s team will receive an allocation and team managers can exchange sizes to ensure the best fits for players. Any teams that require additional team uniforms after the allocations e.g. jerseys, shorts or socks can contact Secretary Chris Doyle a call on 0416 011 899 or email [email protected] Note: Each uniform pack costs the club $100 if a player doesn’t play 5 competition games. Managers are responsible for seeking a return of the uniform packs for players who do not meet this requirement. These packs will then need to be returned to the club. SOUTH EASTERN CLUB SOCIAL FUNCTION The Club Social Function will be held some time in June and is our only club fundraiser for the year. For this reason we ask that all parents support this event. The event is open to mothers, fathers, extended family and friends are all welcome to attend. Further details and a promotional flyer will be made available closer to the date. To support this event each team manager will be allocated 5 tickets well before the event to sell through their team networks. Anyone interested in sponsoring the day, supplying promotional products or simply wish to make a booking can call club Treasurer Tony Whiteley on 0434 058 492. CLUB MEBERSHIP PAYMENTS While the Juniors provide free competition registration club membership payments help offset major costs for the club including training gear, game day drinks, the presentation day, the end of season gala day and team trips. We have maintained the cost this year to $20 per child or $30 per family. Team membership fees will be collected by each team manager once the teams are finalised. Managers will provide parents with a receipt if required which can be organised at the time of full team payment. The final date for the managers to provide full team payments to the club is Sunday 9th of May. Team payments can be provided to the club Treasurer Tony Whiteley (0434 058 492) or Secretary Chris Doyle (0416 011 899). TEAM LISTS & CONTACT EMAILS The club will make email our primary form of communications for season 2011. There will be a weekly email sent out which will include the draw, game day information, Souths Juniors updates, ARL Camps, NRL ticket opportunities and other valuable information about our club. Please ensure that you complete all details on the team contact list even if you currently receive the email update. WEEKLY SOUTHS JUNIORS NEWSLETTER At the commencement of the competition a regular South Juniors newsletter, which is written by Roger Perry, will commence.
