Randy Lennox President, Bell Media Randy Lennox oversees all of the company’s national operations including TV, radio, digital, and out-of-home. Lennox joined Bell Media in August 2015 in the newly created position of President, Entertainment Production and Broadcasting. One year later he added programming for Bell Media’s conventional and specialty networks to his portfolio and became the President, Content and Broadcasting, integrating Bell Media’s English-language programming and production teams with a singular focus on content, before becoming President, Bell Media, in February, 2017. Under Lennox’s leadership, Bell Media has announced several significant strategic partnerships, including a joint venture with Iconic Entertainment Studios to produce theatrical productions, beginning with the international smash hit BAT OUT OF HELL THE MUSICAL; an exclusive alliance with Lionsgate to bring Starz to Canada; an international distribution arrangement with Sony Pictures Television for Bell Media’s original music format THE LAUNCH; the launch of SnackableTV, Canada’s home for Kevin Hart’s Laugh Out Loud comedy network; and a partnership between Bell Media’s BNN and Bloomberg Media, launching in Spring 2018. A veteran music and entertainment industry executive, Lennox was formerly the President and CEO of Universal Music Canada, where he led Universal through a time of tumultuous change in the music industry, and helped elevate Canadian talent to the international stage including Justin Bieber, Shania Twain, Drake, Hedley, Diana Krall, Nickelback, The Tenors, The Tragically Hip, and The Weeknd, among others. Lennox has been honoured as a member of the Canadian Music and Broadcast Industry Hall of Fame and sits on the board of directors for Music Canada, CARAS, and Canada’s Walk of Fame; the board of governors for Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall; and the culture advisory board for the province of Ontario. In April, 2017, Lennox was honoured by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences with the Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award for his long-standing commitment to Canadian music. He has also been recognized by Macleans and Toronto Life for his talent and production work as one of the Top 50 most influential people in Canada and Toronto, respectively. Lennox’s philanthropic time and efforts have helped raised the profiles of numerous charities and causes both nationally and internationally. In 2011, Lennox won a JUNO Award for Single of the Year for producing “Wavin' Flag,” a single that raised more than $2 million in disaster relief funds for Haiti. Lennox is a director of the Smilezone Foundation, a Canadian charity that aims to improve the lives of children facing illness, disabilities, and physical and emotional obstacles. .
