We have also received an excellent selection of photos to include in the magazine and this has resulted in a bumper number of extra photo pages in the PDF version. The problem is trying to decide which 4 will be seen on the covers of the paper version of MAR! Remember, if you subscribe to the paper version of MAR then you are also entitled to download the PDF version free! If you want to send in photos for possible publication can you please send them as JPEGs to me at [email protected] - the preferred size for the JPEG is 24 x16cm at 300dpi (or larger). If you wish to send prints or slides in for consideration these should be sent to Brian Pickering at the editorial address above. As ever, if you would like to see a free copy of @MAR (our other well illustrated PDF magazine - only available via the internet) then please send an email requesting a copy to [email protected]. The subscription for @MAR for 2014 is £20 and you can subscribe at www.mar.co.uk COVER PHOTOGRAPH: USMC MV-22B 168300/EH-00 of VMM-264 with a special fin scheme at the Cherry Point Air Show on May 17th (Andrew Surry) Closing date for the July issue is 08.07.14 Brian Pickering 13.06.14 286 BRITISH REVIEW As we go to press, the first three of No.6 Squadron Typhoons have transferred on 10th June 2014 from Leuchars to their new base, Lossiemouth. No.6 Squadron have moved into newly refurbished Hangar 1 which was previously used by No.12 Squadron. No.1 Squadron will be based in hangar 3 when they make their move during August/September 2014. With the good weather and the Air Show season upon us, could people please send me a log of what they see no matter how small the log is. It all comes together to make the bigger picture for us all to see, my email address is on the opposite page. ...Mick Boulanger (Military movements is history, now and for our future) ALDERGROVE - Residents notes: 665 Sqn Gazelle AH.1 XZ290 has arrived from MPSU Middle Wallop to 665 Sqn Aldergrove RAF BENSON - Residents noted during May: 28/78 Sqn Merlin HC.3/3A ZJ119/C ZJ120/D ZJ121/E ZJ124/H ZJ128/M ZJ129/N ZJ131/P ZJ133/R ZJ134/S ZJ135/T ZJ136/U ZJ137/W ZJ990/AA ZJ992/AB ZJ994/AC ZJ995/AD ZJ998/AE 33/230 Sqn Puma HC.2 XW204 XW229 XW231 ZA936 ZA939 ZJ954 ZJ955/P ZJ957 P2MF Puma HC.2 XW209 XW214 XW216 XW235 XW237 ZA935 Residents notes during May 28/78 Sqn Merlin HC.3/3A ZJ122/F has transferred from MDMF, Culdrose back to 28/78 Sqn, Benson ZJ994AC has transferred from 28/78 Sqn, Benson to MDMF, Culdrose 33/230 Sqn Puma HC.2 ZA939 has been transferred from P2MF Benson to 33/230 Sqn Benson P2MF Puma HC.2 XW204 has transferred from P2MF Benson back to Airbus Helicopters, Kidlington for trials which have now been completed and the aircraft has been issued to 33/230 Sqn, Benson XW209 delivered from Airbus Helicopters, Kidlington to P2MF following its conversion to HC.2 standard The remaining Puma HC.2 fleet should be at the following locations:- Airbus Helicopters, Romania XW199 XW212 XW213 XW217 XW219 XW220 QinetiQ, Boscombe Down XW224 XW232 ZA940 Airbus Helicopters, Kidlington XW216 ZJ956 BIGGIN HILL - Military visitors noted during March: - 03 XZ641/A Lynx AH.7 671 Sqn “AAC739” 13 021 C-295M Polish AF 8.
