We are glad that the process towards an appointment can resume again following the ‘pause’ due to COVID-19. I contact all applicants after short listing and before collecting references (though sometimes the Bishop’s reference is asked for by the Diocese before I have had a chance to contact candidates). At that point I will give short listed candidates further information about the discernment process, however it is now anticipated that what would have formed part of the visit day will take place virtually during 5th and 6th October. In addition there will be a further part of the process during the week of either 14th, 21st or 28th September, dates to be arranged with each candidate. Interviews are planned for Friday 9th October in Oxford. Travel expenses will be paid and overnight accommodation arranged if required.
