Deeley for Naonal Vocaon Awareness Week (November 3R9) November 1, 2019 The encouragement and formaon of vocaons in the Church is the task of all of us. We cannot depend on others to meet our needs. Families, communies, and parishes must help our young people to hear the call that God gives to serve the Church. The importance of personal guidance cannot be overstated. When I was a young man, Monsignor Keilty, out of his own experience of Jesus and his love for the Church, invited me and other young men in our parish to consider the possibility that we might be called to be priests. Several of us entered the seminary. Who knows what would have happened if no one had invited us? We need the same to be happening today. We are a Church that draws its life and strength from the Eucharist. We need priests to make that possible. As we strength- en our parish communies as places of welcome where young people can encounter Jesus, we need to engage them in conversaon about what the Lord might be calling them to do with their lives. When we see young people who show signs of love for the Eucharist and a desire to serve others, we can invite them to pray about what God could be telling them to do with their lives. I encourage you, whether you are a parent, priest, parishioner, or member of a religious community, to invite someone you know to consider a religious vocaon. We all have a vocaon, a call from God to live out our lives in a parcular way. In helping our young people realize their parcular call, we might also ask God to assist us in living beer the call he has given us so that we might beer serve him by the example of our lives. 2 32ND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME You are invited to: Readings for the week of November 10, 2019 Eucharistic Adoration Every Wednesday at the Sunday: 2 Mc 7:12, 914/Ps 17:1, 56, 8, 15 [15b]/2 Cathedral of the Thes 2:16N3:5/Lk 20:2738 or 20:27, 3438 Immaculate Conception Monday: Wis 1:17/Ps 139:1b3, 46, 78, 910 [24b]/ 307 Congress Street Lk 17:16 From 7pm to 8pm Tuesday: Wis 2:23N3:9/Ps 34:23, 1617, 1819 [2a]/ Lk 17:710 Wednesday: Wis 6:111/Ps 82:34, 67 [8a]/Lk 17:11 Eucharistic Holy Hour 19 Every Thursday at the Thursday: Wis 7:22bN8:1/Ps 119:89, 90, 91, 130, St. Louis Church 135, 175 [89a]/Lk 17:2025 279 Danforth Street Friday: Wis 13:19/Ps 19:23, 45ab [2a]/Lk 17:2637 From 6:30pm to 7:30pm Saturday: Wis 18:1416; 19:69/Ps 105:23, 3637, 42 43 [5a]/Lk 18:18 Next Sunday: Mal 3:1920a/Ps 98:56, 78, 9 [cf. 9]/2 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the Month at St. Thes 3:712/Lk 21:519 Louis Parish 3:004:00pm Divine Mercy Chaplet and Prayers to pray for our parish and our priests (In English and PolishM All are welcome!)
