Remedial repairs have been delineated on the construction drawings, but in general consist of repairs to the precast concrete tees and columns, concrete topping slabs, joints, storm water inlet boxes and piping, lighting, steel stair framing, steel railing, decorative metal panels, concrete slab on grade, traffic coating systems, and sealing of concrete. A more complete description of the work and full information for contract bidders is given in the Specifications and Contract Documents. Prequalified contractors will be emailed a link to an electronic repository containing the Specifications and Contract Documents. The prequalified contractors can view and download the documents contained in the electronic repository. Additionally, Specifications and Contract Documents may be examined at the Public Works Department, 1911 Craigmont Road, Staunton, Virginia 24401-0034, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. Hardcopies may be obtained from Wiley|Wilson upon payment of $300.00 for each set. No refunds for the cost of the Specifications and Contract Documents will be made on this project. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held March 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. The Bid shall remain subject to acceptance for sixty (60) days. The attention of bidders is invited to Title 2.2, Chapter 43 of the Code of Virginia. The procedure for withdrawal of bids shall conform to Procedure (A(i)), Section 2.2-4330 of the Code of Virginia.
