25 September 2003 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE LAUNCH OF EZYCARGO INTERNET PORTAL Global Logistics System (HK) Co Ltd (GLSHK) together with Cargo Community Network of Singapore (CCN) today announced the launch of a new Internet-based cargo portal. This Internet portal, called Ezycargo, has been jointly developed and is jointly operated by GLSHK and CCN. Ezycargo has the initial support from four leading Asia-Pacific airfreight carriers: Cathay Pacific Cargo, Japan Airlines Cargo, Qantas Freight and Singapore Airlines Cargo. Ezycargo is a full-service Internet-base air cargo portal. Customers will be able to make allotment and free-sale bookings, review flight schedules and cargo space availability as well as track and trace the progress of their shipment. The service will also offer up-to-date airway bill stock management, e-invoicing and e- payment facilities, along with a variety of advanced electronic features to suit individual customer’s needs. GLSHK Chief Operating Officer Paul Tam said: “Ezycargo represents a major milestone in the development of e-business capabilities in the air cargo community.
