THE HOLLINGSBEE COLLECTION (Please note the correct spelling, not HOLLINSBEE as given in CD26. Apologies toBob and Kathleen) This is a supplementary file that contains errors and omissions from the published information. There are thousands of separate Microsoft Word files in the Hollingsbee collection. These had to be individually converted to Adobe .pdf format for ease of searching and, human nature being what it is, a relatively small number of files were omitted inadvertently. Thanks to Kathleen’s hard work these have been identified and listed in a new file. It is not economic to issue a new CD but when current stocks are exhausted CD26 will be up- dated. Meanwhile, this file will be made available as a free download on the KFHS website at www.kfhs.org.uk Anchor Hollingsbee ref: 1212 EAST KENT PEOPLE INDEX: refs from various East Kent records, randomly noted unless stated otherwise -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- see also ARGUR, AGAR, ACRES -------------------------------------------- Elizabeth ANCHOR, a child buried 1704-5 (Faversham BTs) Sarah ANCHORE of Broad Street, Northgate aged 98 buried Nov 14 1813 (Canterbury St Mary Northgate Reg) Stephen ANCHOR apprenticed to John MAXTED of Eythorne, carpenter 1766 fee £8 (ref: PRO 24/226 Inland Revenue records of which Kent apprenticeships 1763-1774 are on KFHS fiche) ANCHOR of St Peter Canterbury (listed in 1726-1750 licences to marry lists) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- listed by K.Hollingsbee Anderson Hollingsbee ref: 1213 EAST KENT PEOPLE INDEX: refs from various East Kent records, randomly noted unless stated otherwise -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alexander and Margaret ANDERSON: chr their son Rodney 1783 (Otham BTs) (Miss) Ann Elizabeth ANDERSON – notice of marriage to Mr Thomas DAVISON (Dover Telegraph 12 Sep 1846 p.8 col.4) Arthur ANDERSON of K.O.S.B., (name on Tilmanstone Roll of Honour in the parish church, ie. served in the 1914-18 war) Elizabeth ANDERSON spr of Stourmouth married Wm COOK of Eastry ba by B. 8 Apr 1741 (Stourmouth) Elizabeth ANDERSON wid married Wm HAMMOND wid both of Ash by Banns 5 Nov 1763 (ASH BTs) Francis & John ANDERSON were committed to Maidstone Gaol, for assault on Mr WILLS, Excise officer of Rochester (Kentish Gazette June 11-15 1790 p.4 col.3) John ANDERSON and Francis ANDERSON - charged with assaulting Joseph WILLIS, Officer of Excise – they were removed to Newgate (Kentish Gazette Jul 23-27 1790 p.2 col.3) George and Mary ANDERSON: chr 1 Dec 1799 their son William (Deal baptisms from a notebook in Deal Museum) George James Petts (sgd Peet) ANDERSON, 26, ba married 1881 (St Bart’s Church, Charlton by Dover U3/212/1/7) James ANDERSON (Denton Census 1861) John ANDERSON (page 16 of Ruth Nicol’s Index for 1851 St Margaret at Cliffe STRAYS, her page no) Joe ANDERSON: chr 25.5.1834 Amanda, dau of Harriet POWELL and Joe ANDERSON of Ash “unhappy breakers of God’s Holy Law” (ASH BTs) John ANDERSON, wife and family Settlement Cert.
