The Department of Physiology at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences (KCUMB) is seeking a senior and nationally recognized scholar to fill a leadership role in an area of Human Performance at the Associate or Professor level. Primary criteria for appointment include a demonstrated record of securing extramural funding, including serving as PI on investigator-initiated, peer-reviewed research funding. Excellent oral and written communication skills would be expected as well as an ability to lead a multi-disciplinary research team. Minimum position requirements include a Ph.D. or equivalent in physiology or closely related discipline and a strong research background with a currently funded projects and/or high likelihood of future funding. Specific areas of interest compatible with ongoing projects or resources include pediatric wellness, exercise medicine or public health. The successful candidate must be committed to a modest but quality contribution in the delivery of physiology to medical students. KCUMB is a health sciences university founded in 1916 and currently consists of both a College of Osteopathic Medicine and a College of Biosciences.
