Bicycle route through the Villages of Pla de Mallorca The Pla district occupies the central area of Mallorca, in the depression between the mountain ranges of the Serra de Tramontana and the Serra de Llevant. The geomorphology shapes a landscape that, despite the name of the county, is not exactly flat. On the contrary, it is worth noting the elevation of the terrain, with the existence of different mountains that offer spectacular panoramic views over the region, such as Puig de Randa. Leaving towards Llucmajor, the route passes through some of the llogarets (villages) protected by the decla- ration of Cultural Interest (BIC) such as Randa, Castellitx, Ruberts, Biniali, ses Alqueries and ses Olleries. It also passes through other towns such as Algaida, Pina, Lloret, Costitx, Sencelles, Biniagual, Santa Eugènia and Sant Jordi. Cycling along the route of the Villages of Pla de Mallorca: We start the route leaving from Platja de Palma along the streets Maria Antònia Salvà, Dragonera and Sant Cristòfol towards the old Llucmajor road (Ma-6020), which has a segregated cycle lane. We cycle along the service road of the Ma-19 motorway towards Llucmajor. At the Son Noguera industrial estate we turn off onto the Camí des Palmer and then onto the Camí Vell de Cala Pi. We cross the town of Llucmajor along Carrer d'es Convent, Carrer de l'Orient, and leave Llucmajor along Carrer de Gracia to continue along Camí des Putxets until we reach Carretera Ma-5010 in the direction ofRanda. After passing through the village ofRanda we head towards Algaida, passing the Castellitx Hermitage. The next village we pass through is Pina, where we arrive on the Ma-3130 road. We continue towards the village of Ruberts along Correu until we reach the Carretera de Manacor the Ma-3140 road. From the village we head (Ma-15). towards the town of Lloret de Vistalegre. We reach Sa Casa Blanca and continue along the Cross Lloret de Vistalegre along the Carrer des Camí de Sant Jordi towards the town of Sant Jordi.
