SMOOVE RAISED NEARLY $300,000 FOR AT-RISK LOS ANGELES CHILDREN Alliance for Children’s Rights 5th Annual the RIGHT to LAUGH was comedy gold LOS ANGELES (May 30, 2014) – The Alliance for Children’s Rights, Los Angeles’ preeminent free legal services nonprofit dedicated to protecting the rights of at-risk children, hosted its 5th Annual the RIGHT to LAUGH comedy event presented by Solow. Host J.B. Smoove brought down the house with comedians Ray Romano, Brad Garrett, David Koechner, Rob Riggle, Bill Bellamy and Cameron Esposito. The comedy A-listers helped raise nearly $300,000 for abused and neglected children in Los Angeles. More than 500 guests from the entertainment, corporate and philanthropic communities attended the RIGHT to LAUGH event at the Avalon Hollywood. Notable guests included, Toks Olagundoye, Angelique Cabral, Adam Korson, Amy Landecker, Lyndsey McKeon, Amy Yasbeck, Willie Garson, Steve Lukather, Steve Porcaro and Rachelle Carson Begley. Funds raised will benefit the Alliance for Children’s Rights, which focuses on protecting the rights of impoverished and abused children and youth so that they have safe homes, healthcare and the education they need to thrive. This event will give impoverished kids a reason to laugh again.
