Magnus Chase Delays Ragnarok!!! As of today Magnus Chase has delayed Ragnarok, which is the last war before the world ends. He beat Loki the master of silver words in a flyting (insulting challenge). He challenged Loki on the ship Naglfar. ​ He actually didn’t beat Loki with insults, but with the amazing praise about his friends. Magnus beat Loki with pure talent, and maybe just a little help from the Kvasir's Mead (a magical drink). They trapped Loki in a walnut (magical prison), and now Loki is now in the safe care of Odin and the other gods. Magnus (einherji) and his friends all contributed in their different ways -- Alex Fierro (einherji), Samirah al-abbas (valkyrie), Hearthstone (elf), Blitzen (dwarf), Jack (Magnus’s magical, talking, singing sword AKA Sumarbrander), Halfborn Gunderson (einherji), Thomas Jefferson Jr. (einherji), and Mallory Keen (einherji). Einherji are people who go to the Norse God after-life and become warriors of Odin and don’t age. When they go out of the afterlife place, Valhalla, they can die as much as they like and be reborn in a few hours but in the mortal world and the other nine worlds they can die permanently. Valkyrie are the people who can fly and bring the souls of the fallen heroes to Valhalla. Read on to learn how it happened. First, they went on a really long quest to get the Kvasir's mead and other important stuff. When they got close to the ship Naglfar half of them caused a distraction including steel neckties, runes, knives, a bayonet, and lots of expondo ducks. Runes are a type of magic, expondo ducks are metal ducks that expand to the size of building and crush stuff, and steel neckties are neckties that choke people. Then Magnus and two of his friends snuck up near Loki using an invisibility rune magic. Then Magnus challenged Loki to a flyting once they got close and visible. At first Loki said no to the flyting and said he just wanted to kill Magnus, but the captain of the ship, Loki’s partner Hrym, made Loki do the challenge. Everybody stopped fighting while Loki and Magnus were flyting. At first Loki was winning, he kept insulting Magnus making him shrink and shrink. Until Magnus regained his wits and started doing an interesting kind of insulting. He praised his friends and made Loki feel bad about not having any friends until Loki shrunk and shrunk until he was small enough to fit inside the walnut prison. Then all Loki’s minions tried to kill Magnus and his friends but they escaped. Odin rewarded all of them with some of his new books, to stay alive if you are (the elf, valkyrie, and dwarf), and Turkish bathrobes (the einherjars). And the biggest award of all was to turn the empty Chase mansion into a homeless shelter! That's how Magnus and his friends delayed Ragnarok!!! By: Alex Fierro .
