F rom the desk of the principal It gives me immense pleasure to introduce the February 2021 issue of the MAC VOICE. This issue consists of vivid articles from different walks of life. Articles and write-ups from the students of Journalism cover almost all the contemporary issues. Journalism today is at cross roads. Journalists and their professional ethical – legal considerations are being scrutinized on the basis of their ideological interpretations and alienations. Time and again, professionalism is being challenged by ‘Democratic Participatory Medium’ and ‘User Generated Content’ on various social media sites. Views have replaced the news and partisan has replaced the neutrality. At this critical juncture it becomes mandatory for the journalism aspirants to come-up with analytical understanding of the issues. Journalism today is at cross roads. MAC VOICE is a platform where we train and prepare the future journalists, where ethical and moral values are inculcated. It is an effort to provide a space to the students where they can polish their analytical and journalistic skills. The present issue of MAC VOICE covers vaccination drive, New farm policy and protest, Pandemic, The notions of Love Jihad and several other soft topics related to lifestyle, cinema and a picturesque section. The copy of this issue is in hand to evaluate and judge the hard work of these budding journalists. I appreciate the efforts of the students involved in making this idea of MAC VOICE into reality.
