Online Angel Tree Adoption Process Step 1: Obtain a URL code • Organizations/companies are assigned a unique URL to the online Angel Adoption site. This URL will be emailed to the designated contact for the organization/company to share within the organization. Step 2: Adopt and Shop! • Individuals then can use the URL to adopt an Angel that has been allocated to their organization Step 3: Gift Return • Coordinators can either collect the gifts and deliver them to a designated drop-off site or instruct individuals to return their gifts to one of The Salvation Army drop-off sites. • To ensure Angels receive their gifts, gifts must be returned to a Salvation Army drop-off site by December 5. Step by Step Online Angel Tree Adoption Process Step 1 Angel Tree Coordinators will receive an email with a Custom URL that can be shared within their organization. The URL will take individuals to an adoption site which will have the company name at the top. Step by Step Online Angel Tree Adoption Process Step 2 Individuals can select preferences for their Angel and then select Continue at the bottom of the screen. Step by Step Online Angel Tree Adoption Process Step 3 The system will then display the Angels from your allocation that are still available for adoption. Individuals then check the box in the corner of their selected Angel. Step by Step Online Angel Tree Adoption Process Step 4 Individuals will fill out their information so they can claim the Angel in the system and receive a confirmation email with instructions. Step by Step Online Angel Tree Adoption Process Step 5 They will then select where they will drop-off the gifts for their Angel. Step by Step Online Angel Tree Adoption Process Step 7 The Angel can be printed by clicking the Print button at the bottom of the confirmation screen. Step by Step Online Angel Tree Adoption Process Step 9 After an individual has purchased their gifts for their Angel they can bag the gifts together and include the printed tag or a sheet of paper including the Angel Code and Angel Name. Accuracy is key in this step in ensuring the gifts get to your Angel. Traditional Angel Tree Adoption Process • Paper Angel tags will be mailed to you or you may pick them up at a pre-determined Salvation Army location. • As individuals adopt Angels please give them an Angel Tree kit for each Angel • Each kit includes - One bag per Angel Labels for gifts Instruction sheet for labeling and bagging gifts. • Collect the gifts at a central location or instruct those adopting Angels to drop their gifts off at one of the official drop-off sites by December 5th.
