Page 1 of 5 Peerage of Great Britain From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Divisions of the Peerage The Peerage of Great Britain comprises all extant peerages created in the Kingdom of Great Britain after the Act of Union Peerage of England 1707 but before the Act of Union 1800. It replaced the Peerage of Scotland Peerages of England and Scotland, until it was itself replaced by the Peerage of the United Kingdom in 1801. Peerage of Ireland Until the passage of the House of Lords Act 1999, all Peers of Peerage of Great Britain Great Britain could sit in the House of Lords.
