Victoria Horst The CRSS Board of Directors presented the Heart and Cross Award to the treasurer, William H. Erker Family. This award is given annually to an individual, organization Daniel G. Wienstroer or family which supports senior adults without resources. Bill Erker, patriarch of the secretary, William Hopfinger family, passed away last year and his children were presented with the Heart and Cross Award. The Erker Family carries on their parents’ tradition of selflessness and assistant secretary, sr. suzanne Wesley, CsJ working on behalf of those who may not have a voice with their continued support of CRSS as well as the Archdiocese of St. Louis and many other causes. Senior adults who need extra help with activities of daily living are warmer this winter because of grant funding for the Warm Windows project at DuBourg House, a licensed assisted living residence on Eichelberger in the City of St. Louis next to DuBourg High School. Residents are safer, healthier, and more comfort - able than ever as a result of new, weather-proof win - dows built into resident living quarters.
