RESEARCH My research interest focuses on the nexus between sport and health and the ways in which this may be managed to facilitate positive outcomes and hinder negative outcomes. This informs two main areas of research. The first centers on the management of doping in sport. The second examines sport development, both in terms of the development of sport and the use of sport for developmental (i.e., health) outcomes. Rather than focus on the health outcomes per se, I am interested in the managerial and policy issues that affect these outcomes. The ultimate objective of my research is to formulate normative models that describe and explain the ways in which sport, as an institution, influences and promotes health.
