Or. en Justification Member States should be able to grant coupled income support to any sector they deem economically, socially, or environmentally important, and which is simultaneously facing a difficult situation. Furthermore, the specificities of agricultural production in every Member State should be taken into account. In accordance with the principle of subsidiarity, Member States should be given more flexibility in choosing sectors to be granted coupled income support in order to better adapt this measure to the needs identified in the preparation of their CAP strategic plans.
