Tritsab Gyabra Rinpoche is the future regent of the Drikung Kagyu Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism and the most important teacher of the younger generation of Drikung Kagyu reincarnate-lamas. The origins of his reincarnation-lineage goes back to the time of the founder of the lineage. Tritsab Rinpoche was then the first successor to the found- er, Jigten Sumgön (12th century). His last incarnation was responsible for identifying and educating both the current heads of Drikung Kagyu. Following in the footsteps of the great masters of The Practice Lineage, Tritsab Rinpoche completed the traditional 3-year retreat when he was barely 19. June 23 & 24—Topic to be announced soon. Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche, founder and spiritual guide of the Mindrolling Lotus Garden in Virginia, is the daughter of Kyabje Mindrolling Trichen. Born into the Mindrolling lineage, which throughout its history has had many accom-plished female masters, Rinpoche was recognized at the age of two by His Holiness the 16th Karmapa as the re-incarnation of the Great Dakini of Tsurphu, Khandro Ugyen Tsomo, who was one of the most renowned female masters of her time. Thus, the present Khandro Rinpoche came to hold the lineages of both Nyingma and Kagyu schools. Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche is one of the most renowned Tibetan teachers cur- rently teaching in the west. August 4 & 5—Topic to be announced soon. Khentrul Jamphel Lodrö Rinpoche was originally born in the mountain ranges of the Golok region of Tibet. After taking full ordination, he studied in 11 monasteries and practiced with more than 25 teachers from all of the major Tibetan Buddhist traditions, earning himself the title of “Rimé Master” and teacher (Khenpo) of the Tsangwa Monastery in Dzamthang, Tibet. He was later officially recognized as the second reincarnation of the great masters Lama Ngawang Chözin Gyatso. After a time in retreat, he came to India to continue his practices and make pilgrimage to Buddhism’s most sacred sites. It was here that Rinpoche met His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. The Dalai Lama supported Rinpoche’s plans to travel to the West and to spread the teachings of the Kalachakra Tantra. In 2003, Rinpoche moved to Australia and founded the Tibetan Buddhist Rimé Institute. Since then, Rinpoche has written and translated a number of books to guide students in the practice of the Kalachakra Path as presented by the Jonang-Shambhala lineage. While his main focus has been on the Kalachakra system, Rinpoche emphasizes a non-sectarian approach helping his students draw from the vast wisdom of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.
