View this email in your browser It has been another busy month for Oceania Badminton: Five players and five technical officials are currently at the Rio Olympics. Our new Coaching and Development Manager has started and we have moved to a new office. Four players and two coaches from Tahiti and New Caledonia participated in the New Zealand Junior Team Championships as part of the Player Development Programme. Five Coaches gained their BWF Level I Tutor and BWF Level II Coach Qualification. A new 4 year Oceania Badminton strategic plan has been confirmed. Fiji National University delivers Shuttle Time. Shuttle Time: New Coaching & Young Shuttle Colourful Chaos Development Time Graduates of Balloons Manager Prepare for in Fiji Appointed AIMS Games Shuttle Time: Colourful Chaos of Balloons in Fiji It was a case of 99 colourful balloons creating chaos on Saturday at Yat Sen School Hall in Suva as the BWF Shuttle Time program was delivered to 99 in­ service Primary Teachers undertaking their degree program through Fiji National University. Read More Young Shuttle Time Graduates Prepare for AIMS Games Young athletes from both Cook Islands and Tonga are preparing to represent their schools at the AIMS Games in Tauranga (New Zealand) in September. The AIMS Games is a multisports festival for intermediate age (11­13 year olds) held annually ­ and this is the first time our Pacific nations will be represented in badminton. We are also well represented by Technical Officials with Jane Wheatley (Deputy Referee), Kelly Hoare and Trish Gubb (Umpires) and Sandra David and Greg Busch (Line Judges).
