At the end of the NHH fiscal year in June, several of our longest serving board members reached the maximum number of terms according to our by-laws: Sharon Potter, Dee Dee Warren, and Linda Clifford. All three of these dedicated individuals have held leadership positions and have contributed greatly to the strong and stable hospice organization that we are today. Although these ladies are taking a break from board service, they will continue to be supportive friends of our hospice organization and will serve on committees or provide consultation. We also said goodbye to several board members due to moves or changes in employment location: Chuck Erskine, Mary Hunter, Jim Warson and Cathy Youtkus. We thank all of them for their service and wish them good fortune in their new endeavors. Our nominating committee had to get busy and we are happy to report that we have added five new board members. All of the new additions have impressive backgrounds in both business and healthcare that will be crucial to the board’s work of ensuring quality and compassionate service to our hospice patients and families.
