Adults Ground Want to learn new skills, enjoy a workout, meet new people and have fun at the same time? Then sign up for a course to learn from NICA’s experienced trainers while benefiting from NICA’s custom built training spaces. Holiday Circus Essentials (Adult) This week long program gives students a chance to try a number of different circus activities. Develop your strength and flexibility while sampling a variety of fun circus activities, including a selection of juggling, tumbling, mini-tramp, rope, acrobalance, static trapeze, aerial ring, tissu, plate spinning, hula hoops, human pyramids, unicycle, handstands, diabolo and tightwire. Come and Try Day - Adult Tumbling, Juggling and Manipulation Learn fundamental tumbling skills on the tumble run, and learn basic juggling patterns. Circus Essentials All Levels Develop strength and flexibility while sampling a variety of quintessential circus activities. Acrobalance (adagio), juggling, handstands, tightwire, static trapeze, tissu, tumbling and trampoline. Circus Essentials All Levels Thursday 6:30pm-8:30pm - $370 Serious Circus Advanced This structured intensive program is ideal as preparation for participants interested in auditioning for NICA’s Bachelor of Circus Arts or in pursuing circus as a career. Flexibility, handstands, tumbling, strength, conditioning and performance. Suitability for this program will be evaluated prior to term enrolment. Participants attend 2 sessions per week. Serious Circus Advanced Tuesday & Wednesday 6:00pm-8:30pm - $705 (2 sessions per week. Students’ skill-level is assessed prior to enrolment) Tumbling Beginners Develop strength and flexibility by learning the basics on the tumble run. Handstands, cartwheels, round-offs, and somersaults. The fast-track and pit trampoline will also be used as students progress. Tumbling Beginners Monday 6:30pm-8:30pm - $335 Tumbling Intermediate Continue to develop strength and flexibility while learning more advanced skills. Backflips, handsprings, standing front-somersaults and back-somersaults. Tumbling Intermediate Thursday 6:30pm-8:30pm - $370 Tumbling Advanced Perfect your skills and link them together to create exciting and dynamic tumbling runs. Tumbling Advanced Wednesday 6:30pm-8:30pm - $370 Tumbling for Dancers All Levels Get ready to tumble on stage! Learn the basics then progress from the tumble run to the hard floor. Aerial cartwheel, aerial walkover, backflip and handspring. Tumbling for Dancers Wednesday 6:30pm-8:30pm - $335 Acrobalance All Levels Learn the art of climbing on people safely. Create human pyramids and other fun shapes. Improves strength and flexibility. Duo, trio and group balances. Acrobalance All Levels Tuesday 6:30pm-8:30pm - $370 Trampoline All Levels Develop aerial awareness and acrobatic skills by learning the fundamentals. Then, move onto intermediate skills and create simple routines. (Fast track and pit trampoline will also be used when available.) Trampoline All Levels Wednesday 7:15pm-9:15pm - $335 Hula Hoops All Levels Learn to hula up and down your body, on your arms, neck and feet. Impress you friends by doing these all at the same time! Spirals and floats, jump throughs, transitions, barrel and body rolls. Hula Hoops All Levels Tuesday 6:30pm-8:00pm - $280 Juggling & Manipulation All Levels Start with basic patterns, then progress to spectacular juggling tricks. Improve your technique and learn new tricks. Group and individual juggling using balls, clubs, rings, diabolo, devil sticks and poi. Juggling & Manipulation All Levels Friday 6:00pm-8:00pm - $370 Private Tuition All Levels Half-hour and 1-hour private lessons can be arranged for yourself or with up to 4 friends. Nominate the skills and apparatus that you’d like to learn, and our expert trainers can help you develop the skills, strength and flexibility you need. Choose from a wide range of skills including Rope, Tissu, Aerial Hoop, Cloudswing, Straps, Adagio, Tumbling, Trampoline, Pole, German Wheel, Hoop Diving, Contortion, Handstands, Juggling, Poi, Hula Hoops, Rola Bolla and more.
