MADIDI NATIONAL PARK – MASHI LAGOON PRIVATE SERVICE / 3 DAYS – 2 NIGHTS The Madidi National Park is one of the 22 national protected areas of Bolivia, is home of 496 species of fish, including the golden fish and many different species of piranhas and catfish. Amphibians reach an amount of 213 species, but those are the least researched so it's not a surprise to find species that scientists haven't discovered yet. Insect Repellent. Sunscreen. Sunglasses. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO VISIT? Tuichi River. Mashi Lagoon. Madidi National Park. ITINERARY Day 1 Rurrenabaque, Mashi Lagoon, Madidi National Park. Private transfer from the lodging place in Rurrenabaque (or from Rurrenabaque’s Airport). MADIDI NATIONAL PARK – MASHI LAGOON PRIVATE SERVICE / 3 DAYS – 2 NIGHTS Boat trip through Beni and Tuichi rivers. On the way it will be possible to see the last range of Andean Mountains that divides the Altiplano and the Amazon. (4 hours). Arrival to the port and walk through the Wabu Trail until the camp on the banks of the Mashi Lagoon. Lunch, accommodation in TREE TENTS and rest. Dinner and night walk into the jungle. You could find somme praying mantis, sword nose bats and a variety of tarantulas. Includes: accommodation in tree tents, lunch and dinner. Day 2 Mashi Lagoon, Madidi National Park. Breakfast and then walk along the Tejón Trail. In this trail we will have the opportunity to see peccaries, capuchin monkeys and red howler monkeys. (3hours). Fishing of piranhas. Dinner and cultural talk with the guides (they will share some local tales and legends of their communities. Includes: accommodation in tree tents, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Day 3 Mashi Lagoon, Rurrenabaque. Watch of the sunrise on to the Tuichi River and listening of the different sounds of the jungle (identifying some species of birds, insects and mammals). Walk into the Piwarola Trail, where you will learn about medicinal and poisonous plants and how the communities use them as medicine and food. Return to Rurrenabaque taking the Wabu Trail to the port in Tuichi River. Includes: breakfast and lunch. Notes Tips, snacks, extra services and Rurrenabaque transportation fee are not included. This schedule may be subject to slight modifications due to external situations that affect the correct development of the tour such as weather problems, political upheavals or other specific causes. .
