REPUBLIKA NG PILIPINAS TANGGAPAN NG PANGULO Pangasiwaan Sa Pagpapaunlad Ng Kalakhang Maynila (Metropolitan Manila Development Authority) METRO MANILA COUNCIL MMDA Resolution No. 15 - 19 Series of 2015 RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE EARTH COLOR AS STANDARD FOR FOOTBRIDGES IN METROPOLITAN MANILA WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is an administrative body created through Republic Act 7294 with functions and responsibilities to implement metro-wide services which transcend local political boundaries such as Transport and Traffic Management including the provision of infrastructure requirements for the safe and convenient movement of persons and goods; WHEREAS, in furtherance of the above mandate, the MMDA has constructed and maintains footbridges in strategic locations in Metropolitan Manila in coordination with the Department of Public Works and Highways; WHEREAS, there are other footbridges all over Metropolitan Manila constructed by the local government units as well as by the DPWH which are painted according to the preference of the Local Executives who have jurisdiction over their respective areas using colors that indicate their political affiliation; WHEREAS, to avoid the footbridges constructed by DPWH and MMDA being construed as carrying a particular political preference, Secretary Rogelio L. Singson of the DPWH has recommended the use of only one standard color for footbridges constructed and/or maintained by both agencies; NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved as it is hereby resolved, that the Earth Color be adopted uniformly for footbridges constructed and maintained by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.
