ENGINIUM - THE PULSE OF SET is rightly called so as it involves the blood and sweat of more than 100 members working towards creating this publication. It is the amalgamation of the literary and artistic segment of the university. Team Enginium work to bring out the annual official student publication of Mody University of Science and Technology. Every year our team of writers, designers, artists, photographers and correspondents strive to generate the most creative content with their grit, determination and hard work. The magazine is a fruit borne out of the year-round work by the team members to write and create articles, stories, poetry, art and photographs. Apart from this, Enginium also organises events, workshops, photography exhibitions, stalls in college fests, collects funds for the magazines and manages other tasks like designing of the team T-shirts, certificates, badges, posters etc. The team is the largest one in the college with right sub-teams, each adding its own flavour and contribution. As a whole, the team is a blend of art, creativity, photography, technical, marketing, journalism and writing prowess. The eight teams are: ● ART TEAM is a group of talented and creative individuals bringing to the magazine a whole lot of sketches, paintings and cartoons. ● CREATIVE TEAM gives the complete look and feel to each and every page of the magazine. From the cover to the last page, how everything looks is taken care of by these people. ● ENGLISH TEAM writes articles, poems and stories. It gives an escape into a world of words. ● HINDI TEAM is to bring back the old times and savour our mother tongue. ● JOURNALISM TEAM provides the facts and the current affairs and their take on the social issues throughout the globe. ● MARKETING TEAM gets us the financial help and funds. ● PHOTOGRAPHY TEAM captures the beauty that life has to offer in the lens of their cameras. ● TECHNICAL TEAM brings on the table the much-needed know-how of the latest trends and technologies in the world. I believe that the team of Enginium which manages against all the odds, obstacles and inertia to exercise their talent to bring the magazine into being, is quite worthy. The theme for this edition is Emotions. Emotions are feelings that drive us on and astray. The magazine takes you on a tour of different emotions we experience daily and gives you a broader picture on how we think and behave. Learning and creativity go hand in hand and with Enginium the students are given the opportunity to do exactly that. The hard work and dedication of the team is unending and can be seen in every single page of the magazine. The students have put their best foot forward to bring out the magazine as it is today. Dr. A.Senthil, HOD-CSE, SET Congratulations to the students and faculty associated to Enginium committee for successfully publishing the issue of SET Magazine Enginium. Enginium is creating platform, which provides an opportunity to the students and staff to express their original thoughts on technical topics. The magazine plays an instrumental role in providing exposure to the students to develop written communication skills and command over the language. It is a step towards building professional and ethical attitude in them. The entire journey of creating Enginium is an outcome of rigorous effort made by students. Students not only gain the knowledge about the latest technological developments and advancements through reading and writing articles but they also develop verbal and written communication skills. This issue has expanded its scope by introducing articles by major stakeholders. Kriti Jijja Anudita Sharma Shubhangi Sharma Akshita Gupta Vaishnavi Pujara (Head Designer) (Head Designer) (Editor-in-Chief) (Deputy Editor) (Deputy Editor) Dear readers, This, this piece of sheer hard work and talent, these 150 pages hold such importance in all of our lives that it’s not possible for us to convey our elation and contentment in a few words upon holding the completed magazine in our hands. It has been a roller-coaster ride to get the end-product that is this magazine. It had to be nurtured and cherished, it had to be taken care of and we tried to do so to the best of our capabilities. Today in the 21st century, where the world moves at such a pace it’s difficult to even stop for a second, the most fundamental reasons for the existence of human beings tend to get neglected. We are so involved in the practicalities of life, we seldom forget the most substantial things that are the backbone of our existence- our emotions. The magazine this year with its theme tries to reiterate the importance of human emotions and hopes that it was able to remind the readers that how all the things in life are directly or indirectly affected by how we feel and how we choose to deal with it. It was a difficult theme to work with, but everyone tried to put their best foot forward. Amidst the complete turmoil and activities of the regular curriculum, the whole team channelized all the creative energy to bring out some masterpieces in the form of articles, stories, poems, photographs and art. With such a variety of content, we had our work cut out for us. Deciding the theme, assigning slots, organizing meetings, taking care of the deadlines, and finally reading, reviewing and editing the slots, we gave our blood and sweat for the creation of this edition. Thus, with great pride and honour in the post given to us, we would like to present to you the 17th issue of Enginium for 2019-2020.
