Reminders and Updates SCHOOL COUNCIL UNIFORM SHOP The School Council uniform shop will be open during the family picnic on the 18th July and we will be having a “swap shop”. You will be able to swap like for like items (1 jumper for 1 jumper/cardigan, 1 pair of trousers for 1 pair of trousers/shorts/skirts – no white shirts please). Items to be swapped must be clean and in good condition, please remove any name tags beforehand. You will still be able to purchase items in the shop for £1. OUTSTANDING DEBTS Please can parents ensure that all outstanding debts for school dinners, Nursery, After School club, trips etc. be cleared before the start of the new school year. You will not be able to access additional services in September if you have outstanding balances on your account. CHARGES – SEPTEMBER 2019 Breakfast Club - From September 2019 Breakfast Club will be charged at £1.50 per week, (same cost for 1 day or 5 days per week). Nursery - From September 2019 additional morning or afternoon sessions, over your allocated free sessions, will be charged at £10.00 per session. The lunch hour will cost £4.00 per session (this does not include the cost of the school lunch). After School Club - From September 2019 this will be charged at £7.00 per session. School Dinners (info from Caterlink) - From September 2019 the cost of school dinners will be £2.05 per day. www.bartonprimaryschool.co.uk PARK AND STRIDE The Isle of Wight Council is helping schools to promote walking to school by providing free parking, at designated times and places, through this Park & Stride scheme. Parents of younger children are encouraged to walk to school with their child. Parents of older children may encourage their child to walk independently. The scheme is administered by schools, with the agreement of the Parking Services section of the Isle of Wight Council. Parents at Barton are able to park in Coppins Bridge Car Park for free between 8.00- 8.45am and 2.45-3.45pm Monday-Friday during the school term as long as they display a permit, which can be obtained from the school office.
