* Tournament is open to fish anywhere in US. Fish when and where you want. (I.E Boat, Bank. Kayak, tube, Etc.) You have 24 hours after you catch your fish to post online unless you have spoken to the tournament director prior. This is a month long tournament. All photos have to be submitted thru TourneyX program. You can submit a many fish as you want, the program will auto cull to your longest fish. Tournament Rules Members shall not cheat or be dishonest. Any angler breaking the following rules will be disqualified. Members will use artificial baits only--live or cut bait is not allowed. Members are restricted to using one rod and reel at a time. Anglers may not have more than one line in the water at a time. A current fishing license must be in possession during the tournament. All anglers must have a device that is capable of capturing a clear photo (phone, digital camera) in a fishing environment. Catch Photo Release (CPR) All photos will be judged by 2-3 different judges. Members will only use Catch Photo Release as means of fish measurement. Fish must be at least 12 inches in length, or the minimum legal length for that species and that body of water. The measuring stick must have quarter inch markings and must be clearly visible (darkened with paint or pen if needed), and be at least 24 inches in length. Fish exceeding the length of the measuring device will be awarded the maximum length of the measuring device (no estimations or extensions allowed). Eligible Species — Only “black bass” are eligible for scoring. That designation includes the three most common species (Largemouth Bass – Micropterus salmoides, Smallmouth Bass – Micropterus dolomineu, and Spotted or Kentucky Bass – Micropterus punctulatus) as well as other less well-known species or varieties: A. Shoal Bass – Micropterus cataactae B. Redeye Bass – Micropterus coosae C. Suwannee Bass – Micropterus notius D. Guadalupe Bass- Micropterus treculi E. Bartram’s Bass – Micropterus bartrami F. Alabama Spotted Bass – Micropterus punctulatus henshalli G. Mean Mouth Bass – hybrid offspring of M. dolomieau and M. punctulatus Permitted Methods of Capturing Fish — All bass must be caught live, the Competitor using only equipment and legal methods that comply with all sport fishing statutes and regulations of the states and body of water in which they are taken. Competitors are responsible for research of fishing and boating regulations. Snatching or snagging fish is not permitted. When visually fishing a bed for spawning bass, to be admissible all bass must be hooked inside the mouth, released alive and in good condition immediately after the photos have been taken. Areas posted continuously as “Off Limits” or “No Fishing” by regulatory authorities or owners does not qualify as “Eligible Waters.” Areas that have restricted fishing hours or dates are eligible water only during the times and days when boating and fishing are permitted. PHOTOGRAPHING: It is the responsibility of the angler to ensure fish are measured and photographed as per the rules. All fish must be specifically photographed. Any out of focus photos where the ruler is illegible will be disqualified. Photos with a distorted angle perspective will be disqualified. Print a couple identifiers for back up, use a zip-lock bag to keep dry, put sand or coins in the bag to add weight and prevent loss in windy conditions. Anglers must take whatever means necessary to protect the identifier (No Code Numbers will be accepted, only Identifiers with our logo and month that we released). Judges have final say in all disputes. Photos submitted without identifiers will not be score. By participating in the contest and submitting an entry, the contestant releases the copyright to all of the submitted photos. All copyright photos are release to ArmyBassAnglers to use the photo for publicity purposes; (I.E web, print and social media.) The picture must show: Mouth must be fully closed. Fish have to be laying on side, dorsal fin up, with mouth touching the left side of board and the identifier ( No Code Numbers will be accepted, only Identifiers with our logo and month that we released). below the fish. If this rule is violated your fish will be DQed. No obstructions in the nose or tail of the fish else your fish will be DQed. Measurements need to be rounded down to the ¼” mark unless the tail is clearly touching the line. Only hands may be used to hold fish on the board: no ties, bungee cords, bands, etc. or else the fish will be DQed Fish should not be pictured while hooked by any fishing device such as: a fish grip, game clip, lure, hook, or bait else the fish will be DQed The unique identifier code for the competition will be posted the night before the tournament starts. The identifier, measuring device, and the full length of the fish must be clearly visible for the catch to count towards the score. Members will be responsible for submitting their own photo catches using a camera with a viewable screen. Members will be responsible to report accurate length of their fish. The program will atomically cull to your longest fish. Each member’s top longest fish will be scored. Prizes will be processed after all fish submitted for scoring have been judges, the results reviewed by a separate panel, and disputes and challenges have been resolved. The anglers with the longest fish are the winner. Top three longest fish will win prizes. No refunds after you have enter the tournament.
