Speakeasy at Door 301 is here! On behalf of all the Our Lady of Mount Carmel School students who will benefit from the important funds raised at tonight’s benefit auction, I want to raise a glass and offer a warm and hearty toast of welcome! Shhh…. the first password isintegrity. Just as the students are learning how to live with integrity, tonight’s benefit auction is a demonstration of the integrity of the many, many individuals who generously joined creative energies for the benefit of the larger OLMC community. By recognizing the needs of others and showing a positive attitude, countless volunteers have created what promises to be a night of friendship, celebration, delicious food and beverage, dancing, and of course, the thrill of the casino table! I am immensely grateful to all who have contributed to transform the school into tonight’s Speakeasy at Door 301. I raise a special glass to express my gratitude to this year’s Auction Chairwomen, Chandra McLaughlin and Jeri Daines! Shhh…. the next password is love. Our Lady of Mount Carmel School is rooted in the love of Jesus. When we as a Padre community love one another with our words and actions, with unconditional kindness, and with the spirit of service, we create a very special community of faith that shines far beyond the confines of Grand and Katherine Streets. I encourage you to bid generously for the benefit of the educational programs, extracurricular opportunities, and extraordinary historical facility that we call Our Lady of Mount Carmel School. I want to toast to OLMC’s future to be graced with kindness, prosperity, health, happiness, and the love of Jesus. Shhh…. the final password ispurpose. The children of Our Lady of Mount Carmel School learn with purpose individually and collectively to become the best young people they can be. Using our precious children as our role models, the OLMC School and Parish community has the unique opportunity to collectively be good stewards of God’s many gifts and to join together in solidarity to overcome the challenges that may come our way. After one very full year as Principal, I am immensely proud to call myself a Padre! I want to sincerely thank the parents and families, faculty and staff, and especially Fr. Ulysses D’Aquila for their generosity of spirit throughout the last year. We are a blessed community, and I ask you to once more raise a glass in gratitude to Saint Julie Billiart, Foundress of the Congregation of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, and pray to Saint Julie to continue to intercede for the benefit of our children, our families, and our OLMC community! With deep gratitude, Deborah Farrington, Ed.D. Principal From the auction chairs Dear Families and Friends, Welcome to OLMC’s Speakeasy at Door 301!
