The students have been wonderful and deserve to be congratulated. Following the most recent Department for Education guidance, the last day of term for all students will now be Thursday 17 December. The Department for Education has provided details on when the Academy should be contacted in the event of a positive Covid test result. 1. Where a student tests positive for Covid, having developed symptoms within 48 hours since last in the Academy, you should inform the Academy by email to [email protected] We will continue to work with the Health Protection Hub with contact tracing until 4.00pm on Wednesday 23 December 2. If a student tests positive for Covid, having developed symptoms after 48 hours since last being in the Academy, you should follow contact tracing instructions provided by NHS Test and Trace 3. Where students are required to self-isolate due to contact with a positive case after 23 December, you should inform the Academy regarding any absence on Monday 4 January I would like to remind you that face coverings continue to be worn in the Academy. Students are advised to bring a spare mask in their Academy Bag to assist with any eventuality. In the future event that students have to isolate at home, remote learning will be provided. If possible the expectation is that 4 hours of work is undertaken each day with support available. Students have been given guidance on how to access Remote Learning in their Learning Records. In addition there is a lot of information and help sheets available in the Remote Learning section of our website. The first point of contact with any queries is the student’s Year Manager with technical support being available on request from our IT team. The Academy will re-open on Monday 4 January 2021.
