Position as scientific assistant or doctoral candidate at an institute of the University of Stuttgart or rather at an affiliated research facility. Scholarship or comparable type of funding. A mentor for the doctoral degree intent is required. Private financing. (Doctor of Engineering) not Ph.D. The thesis can be written in English provided of the supervisor agrees. The university degree of the candidate has to be recognized as equivalent to a German degree. Regarding visa: a student visa is needed, no tourist or research visa. No tuition fees for doctoral students but no scholarships for covering living expenses either.
