LENT, HOLY WEEK, & THE PASCHAL TRIDUUM 2019 SHROVE TUESDAY (MARDI GRAS) ~ MARCH 5 Sixth Annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper at 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. in the Church Commons ASH WEDNESDAY ~ MARCH 6 Mass & Distribution of Ashes at 8:30 a.m. & 7:00 p.m. DAILY MASS SCHEDULE ~ March 7 to April 17 Monday through Thursday at 8:30 a.m. & Saturday at 8:30 a.m. First Friday at 8:30 a.m. PERPETUAL ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT begins after the 7 p.m. Mass on Ash Wednesday through 12 noon on Holy Thursday. Adoration will be held Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday from 6 a.m. to Midnight and continuously from 6 a.m. on Friday to Midnight on Sunday. Sign up in the Commons to commit to one (or more) hour each week during Lent. We have 124 hours per week to cover. Everyone’s participation is needed! Matthias, Deacon Mike and deacons from around Hampton Roads in the Church Commons following the Stations of the Cross to share a simple potluck meatless dish or soup. The theme this year is “Into the Catechism”. Catechisms of the Catholic Church will be available for sale ($10) if you need one. All are welcome. Invite friends & family. PRAISE & WORSHIP IN SPANISH from 8 to 9 p.m. Immediately following Dinner with the Deacons all are invited for Praise & Worship in Spanish in the church led by Nilda Sanchez. Perpetual Adoration will resume at 9 p.m. in the Adoration Chapel. HOLY WEEK & THE PASCHAL TRIDUUM PALM SUNDAY OF THE PASSION OF THE LORD ~ April 14 Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at 8:30 a.m. with Solemn Procession with Palms (outside, weather permitting); 11:00 a.m. (Youth Mass); & 5:00 p.m. CHRISM MASS ~ April 15 Monday at 6:00 p.m., Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, Richmond HOLY THURSDAY OF THE LORD'S SUPPER ~ April 18 Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7:00 p.m. Followed by Adoration of the Eucharist (Night Watch) in the Adoration Chapel from 8:30 p.m. to Midnight All are invited to bring donations of canned goods & non-perishable foods forward which will be given to Saint Columba Ecumenical Ministries. GOOD FRIDAY ~ April 19 Living Stations of the Cross by CTK Youth Group at 3:00 p.m. in the Church Celebration of Our Lord’s Passion & Veneration of the Cross at 7:00 p.m. THE EASTER VIGIL IN THE HOLY NIGHT ~ April 20 Easter Vigil Mass at 8:00 p.m. followed by a reception in the Commons – Please bring a food item to share. EASTER SUNDAY OF THE RESURRECTION OF THE LORD ~ April 21 Masses at 8:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., & 5:00 p.m. .
