Joining the 48 stars already in the Hall were George Rosenkranz, Sidney Lazard and Ira Rubin, who were on hand for the ceremony, and deceased mem- bers Lou Bluhm, Harry Fishbein, Charles Solomon and Meyer Schleifer. Once again David Ezekiel of Bermuda was out- standing as the master of ceremonies. He introduced each presenter who in turn introduced the new Hall member. Lou Bluhm The first presenter, Tom Sanders, was visibly emo- tional as he recalled his happy days with Lou Bluhm. “I’ve thought a lot about Lou in the past 10 years,” he said. “Sometimes I fantasized about how things might have turned out had he not been taken from us in the prime of his life. Leslie Brubaker, Community Relations Associate for the CHOC Foundation for Children, accepted the check on behalf of the hospital. “CHOC is the only children’s hospital in Orange County, and we see more than 100,000 children per year. We treat them regardless of their financial or in- surance status. The children range in age from prema- ture infants to 18-year-olds,” said Brubaker.
