K.S.L. Aparna K.S.L. Aparna, The distinction between achievement and success is that achievement is knowledge that is attained through hardwork and effort. Success is being praised by others, which is nice but not important. So one should aim to attain achievement rather than success. I started my journey of learning in the year 1996 from 'National Association for The Blind', under the guidance of their support system. Within six months I joined St. Mary's through the 'Integrated Education System'. Surpassing the stumbling stones of failures at times and tasting the fruits of success on others, i completed my class x in the year 2007 with 77.6%. I approached respected Principal, Shri Vinay Kumar, and it was his greatness that he admitted me into his renowned institution. I took up Humanities with full support and guidance of my Principal, Vice Principal and teachers. I grew gradually and have become what I am and stand where I do today due to the support from Delhi Public School Vasant Kunj that came from varied quarters. Under continuous guidance, I secured 86% in class XII Board Examination for which I would be ever grateful to DPS Vasant Kunj. At present I am pursuing History (Hons.) from St. Stephens College. Though school life has ended yet the Happy Days spent in Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj are inevitably embedded in my memory. Hardik Aneja Hardik Aneja, a Class 11 student at Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj, is bright at academics and has a passion for the computers and software. What sets this 16-year-old youngster apart from his peers, however, is that-he is, possibly, the world's, youngest Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH). Usually, one has attain 18 years in order to be eligible to take the qualifying examination administered by the US-based EC-Council in order to earn the right to be considered an ethical hacker. The Council accepted his request to be allowed to appear for a qualifying exam, which he passed with flying colours at the age of 15 years and 7 months. While the Council issued him a certificate officially naming him a CEH, the body is now in the process of ascertaining if he is indeed the youngest person to have achieved the feat. Currently, 16-year- old Shane Kelly, is believed to be the youngest, having achieved the CEH in 2008. While Aneja awaits news from the authority, success in this endeavour could make his the second youngster from India to have made it big in this field. Ankit Fadia,. now 27, became a household name when he had published the book titled An Unofficial Guide to Ethical Hacking at the age of 14. JAGRITI KUMAR I was head girl in 2004-05 and it was one of the most prestigious posts I think I've ever held. To be at the head of the student council of a school I've been in since class 1 was a feeling hard to describe. Organizing the various school events, brainstorming for new ideas to shake things up a bit, spending time outside class since we had 'official reasons' to do so, being a part of the everyday functioning of the student body...it was an awesome experience. I learned so many things through all my years at DPS Vasant Kunj and many of them were in the two years I was Vice Head Girl and Head Girl. The ability to deal with different kinds of people, honing of organizational skills, interacting with teachers and students alike and having a lot of fun along with taking the responsibility very seriously. I experienced some lows and many highs, all contributing to the person I am today. Post school, I did Maths Hons from St. Stephen's College and am now working as a Data Analyst with Hewitt Associates. It's all been hard work and a lot of fun, but school days are always missed! I plan on doing my MBA soon (fingers crossed) but until then, its the corporate life! School and the people associated with it will always be ingrained in my mind as some of the best memories of my life.
