First Venice edition of the Gabriel Gerberon editing of Anselm’s works, first published in Paris in 1675. Saint Anselm of Canterbury (1033-1109) was born in SUMMER Aosta, in Piedmont. After study in Burgundy and France, he entered the Benedictine order and became prior and later abbot of Bec. He succeeded his teacher Lanfranc, Archbishop of Canterbury in 1093.
