Tasmania Grant (Gordon River Road) No. 5 of 1967 An Act to amend the Tasmania Grant (Gordon River Road) Act 1964-1966. [Assented to 13 April 1967] B E it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia as follows:- Short title 1.-(1.) This Act may be cited as the Tasmania Grant (Gordon River and citation. Road) Act 1967. (2.) The Tasmania Grant (Gordon River Road) Act 1964-1966t is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act. (3.) The Principal Act, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Tasmania Grant (Gordon River Road) Act 1964-1967. Commence- 2.-(1.) Subject to this section, this Act shall come into operation on amt. the day on which it receives the Royal Assent. (2.) Section 3 of this Act shall be deemed to have come into operation on the day on which the Principal Act came into operation. t Act No. 5, 1964, as amended by No. 93. 1966. 1967 Tasmania Grant (Gordon River Road) No. 5 (3.) Section 4 of this Act shall be deemed to have come into operation on the day on which the Commonwealth Aid Roads Act 1964 came into operation. 3. Section 3 of the Principal Act is amended- Definitior. (a) by omitting the definition of " the Gordon River road" and inserting in its stead the following definition:- "'the Gordon River road' means a road approximately fifty- three miles in length commencing at a point one and one-quarter miles or thereabouts to the west of Maydena in the State and ending at a point on the Gordon River approximately one-half mile upstream from the junction of that river with the Serpentine River together with two branch roads of a total length of approximately two miles between points on that first-mentioned road and points on the Gordon River further upstream;"; and (b) by omitting from the definition of " the prescribed period" the word " four" and inserting in its stead the word " six". 4. Section 7 of the Principal Act is amended by adding at the end expenditureCea thereof the words "or for the purposes of section four of the Common- not to taken into wealth Aid Roads Act 1964" account for purposes of Commonwealth Aid Roads Acts..
