Age UK Dudley is the leading older people’s charity in Dudley. We are planning to further develop our existing Services and now have the following opportunities. Daybreak Centre Assistant (Part Time) – Bromley, Pensnett Substantive post : p/t 21 paid hpw : Scale 2.4 £7.93ph / £8660p.a. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 8.30am – 4pm. The post currently has additional funding @ 7 paid hours per week, worked on Friday, up to end March 2016. Applicants should ideally hold NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, or equivalent, and have experience of working with older people and volunteers preferably in a Day Care setting. You will be required to support and motivate clients to enable them to make the most of the opportunities available. Daybreak Senior Care Assistant – Sedgley [from January 2016] p/t 21 paid hpw. Scale 3.7 £8.37ph / £9140p.a. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8.30am-4pm Applicants must already hold NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or equivalent. You will have considerable experience of working with older people, preferably in a health &social care setting, and have empathy towards their needs. You will be required to assess client’s needs and develop and deliver activities with clients and motivate them to make the most of opportunities available. Shopmobility Project Assistant (Evenings – Part Time) Merry Hill Centre, Brierley Hill p/t 15 paid hpw. Scale 3.7 £8.37ph / £6529p.a. Monday – Friday 4.30pm – 7:30pm Additional hours may be required in the run up to Christmas. Applicants must have an understanding of the needs of older people, and be experienced in providing services to meet clients’ needs, preferably in a retail environment. You will be a good communicator, well organised, have good IT skills and experienced in handling cash and maintaining financial records.
