Join us for an evening presentation and discussion of “Tomorrow’s Politics: Healing a Frayed Republic.” Peter Wehner, with Cherie Harder offering Christian perspectives Tuesday, June 18, 7:00-9:00pm (appetizers at 6:45) National Presbyterian Church 4101 Nebraska Ave. NW, Washington, DC Presenter: Peter Wehner is a Senior Fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center and a Senior Fellow of The Trinity Forum. A committed Christian and a well-known journalist, Wehner writes widely on political, cultural, religious, and national-security issues. Mr. Wehner is a contributing opinion writer for the New York Times and a contributing editor for The Atlantic magazine. He has written for numerous other publications—including Time Magazine, the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Financial Times, Weekly Standard, photo NBC news Commentary, National Affairs, and Christianity Today . He has also appeared as a commentator on MSNBC, CNN, Fox News, CBS, PBS and C-SPAN television. Pete is author of City of Man: Religion and Politics in a New Era (co- authored with Michael J. Gerson) and Wealth and Justice: The Morality of Democratic Capitalism (co-authored with Arthur C. Brooks). His new book: The Death of Politics: How to Heal Our Frayed Republic After Trump, will be published in June 2019 by HarperCollins. Copies will be available for purchase and signing by the author. Ms. Harder served in the White House as Special Assistant to the President and Director of Policy and Projects for First Lady Laura Bush. She has also served as Policy Advisor to Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist and Senator Sam Brownback, and as Senior Counselor to the Chairman of the National Endowment for the photo R&E Newsweekly Humanities (NEH) -- where she helped design and launch the We the People initiative to enhance the teaching of American history.
