FOUR MORE FABULOUS AND FUN MUSICALS!! PRESENTED BY EDU-TAINER ELLEN PAM KATZ, BALTIMORE, MD, FROM ELLEN’S “ZOOM ROOM” FOR MORE INFORMATION, AND BIOGRAPHY GO TO WWW.ELLENKATZBROADWAY.COM [email protected], 443-622-7490 WICKED! WICKED is the story of what happened in Oz before Dorothy arrived. Among sets and costumes that are wild beyond our imaginations, we meet “Elphaba” the “evil” Wicked Witch born with green skin and the beautiful Glinda the “Good” witch. Both women form a beautiful friendship that is constantly tested by the politics of “Oz”. With a brilliant score by Stephen Schwartz, you will spellbound by the songs of deceit, sorcery, lasting love and deep friendship. A Broadway experience not to be missed! CHORUS LINE In an empty theatre, 17 dancers audition for a new Broadway show—each with one dream—a chance to dance. They put their whole lives on the line by sharing their stories and “What they Did For Love”. This musical is an American Masterpiece with its message of heartbreak and hope. Be enthralled with its score by Marvin Hamlisch and choreography by the late Michael Bennett. This show is a singular sensation! HAIRSPRAY Set in the segregated 60’s in my hometown of Baltimore, MD, “HAIRSPRAY” was written by a hometown hero, John Waters. Tracy Turnblad, an overweight teenager who loves to dance, tries to integrate the Corny Collins TV Bandstand show. Her dancing exuberance and her fight for equality are captured in a nonstop rock and roll score that keeps us dancing from the first hit “Good Morning, Baltimore” to its successful integrated ending “You Can’t Stop the Beat”. With a bevy of comic characters, including Tracy’s mother, Edna, and it’s multicultural cast, this show was written as a comedy, but has more than music as its message. WEST SIDE STORY On a hot summer evening in the 1950’s in New York’s Upper West Side, William Shakespeare’s tragic story of star- crossed lovers dramatically unfolds. The enmity between two antagonistic street gangs puts the lovers Tony and Maria in the cross hairs of their families’ rivalries. With magnificent choreography by Jerome Robbins and an extraordinary score by Stephen Sondheim and Leonard Bernstein, we compare clips from the original Broadway show as well as the Oscar winning film. This is “A Time For Us” to relive this timeless Broadway treasure. ABOUT: EACH PROGRAM IS ONE HOUR AND 15 MINUTES TO ONE HOUR AND A HALF. ELLEN ALWAYS IN COSTUME AND READY TO ANSWER QUESTIONS. NOSTALGIC CLIPS AND LIVE PERFORMANCE. DON’T MISS A NOTE!! .
